Traces of a castle in the inland village of Apolakkia, on a hillock 79 metres high called Kastro, to the east of the parish church of St. Marina. Sources of 1408 mention that Apolakkia had a castle which could shelter the local inhabitants as well as those of the settlements of Stridio, Profylia and Arnitha. The remnants of the castle are too meagre for the castle's plan to be traced.
