The rescue excavations have revealed strata of the Archaic period with significant pottery and architecture, and graves of Athenian klerouchoi, dated to the Classical period. Of the Hellenistic and Classical city are preserved parts of the fortification walls, the city's layout and the cemeteries. The most important recent find is a single-chambered Macedonian tomb.
