Every Tuesday the museum opens at 10:00
All of the archaeological sites, monuments, and museums remain closed on
Easter Sunday and May Day, which are official national holidays. On Good Friday, they are open from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm and on Holy Saturday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Important Announcements
1. We would like to inform you that within the framework of the project “Restoration of the ancient road network and visitor circulation paths with provisions for people with disabilities and peaple with reduced mobility, and the creation of new stopping and viewing areas within the archaeological sites of the Ancient Agora and Kerameikos” included in the RRF "SUB 1: Improvement of accessibility infrastructure at the archaeological sites and Museums of the Ancient Agora of Athens and Kerameikos" (MIS 5200538), works will be carried out at the entrance of the Stoa of Attalos on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. For the safety of the visitors the archaeological site will remain closed to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 17:00 p.m., until the works are completed and Stoa of Attalos becomes accessible.
2. The Ancient Agora Museum-Stoa of Attalos will remain closed on the 1st.02.2026.
3. We inform you that due to the ongoing Recovery and Resilience Fund project titled "Redevelopment of the Main Entrance of the Archaeological Site of the Ancient Agora" (Adrianou 24), from July 1, 2025, until the completion of the redevelopment and upgrading works of the related infrastructure, visitor entry and exit will be through the archaeological site gate at Thiseio Square (Jacqueline de Romilly).
