In the cemetery of Mazarakiia have been used all kinds of funerary practices, i.e. cremation, interment and burial in pots. Cremations, normally used for adults regardless of gender, outnumber significantly the other practices.
Small columns and tombstones were placed for the marking of graves. The dead were accompanied to their final resting place with several objects used in everyday life, such as table and drinking vessels, oil lamps, many of them with relief decoration, clay and glass perfume bottles, jewelry, objects related to their occupations, such as iron and copper styluses, bone music keys and bronze coins, many of which are exhibited today in the Archaeological Museum of Igoumenitsa.
