Grave relief representing a heroized dead woman

A beautiful Roman grave relief decorated with a scene of a heroized dead woman on horseback. She appears in profile holding the reins of her horse and riding towards the left. The woman is presented wearing a long-sleeved chiton (light robe, usually made of linen) that covers her head. The horse appears in a pacing motion. A rectangular altar on a base with a volute top is in front of its legs. The altar is decorated with a garland, and a pyramid-shaped flame is depicted on its top. Behind the altar, there is a tree with a snake coiled around it, while behind the horse is a female servant shown frontally. The servant wears a sleeved chiton and holds a pyxis (container of cosmetics, jewelry).
