Archaeological & byzantine exhibition

View of the bronze spear-head
Spear tip

This is a leaf-shaped spear tip that has been very well preserved despite the fact that it is quite rusty. The spear is cast. It has a conical shape that ends on a line along both sides of the tip. The tip was placed on a wooden spear and was one of the basic and most standard ancient weapons. On the whole, spear tips were constructed throughout antiquity and were usually made of copper or iron.
