The Museum is accessible for people with dissabilities.
Moreover, For the blind people and people with limited vision we have a leaflet in Braille script (Greek-English), a special shaped outdoor exhibition with marmor artifacts and a program of audio-haptic guided tour through the Museum’s permanent exhibition titled “Touch and be acquainted with Byzantium” in three languages (English, German, Russian) and in Greek. Moreover we provide a special brochure for the escort. All these are free of charge by the use of entrance ticket. |

With the car
The Museum is located downtown and there is no free space for parking. The closest parking area is inside the basement of the City Hall. For buses, which carry groups of tourists or pupils, there is the possibility of parking the vehicle in front of the entrance of the Museum, 2, Stratou Avenue.
With the bicycle
There is a parking place for bicycles and motorcycles in front of the entrance of the Museum, 2, Stratou Avenue. |

Shop |

The Museum has a shop, which belongs to the Archaeological Resources Fund. The visitor can buy there publications related to cultural, archaeological and historical subjects, books on art, books for children, replicas of archaeological objects, which are dated from the antiquity until the post-byzantine period, modern makings inspired from the Museum’s exhibits, clothing, jewelry, several gifts, toys, posters and postcards e.a. The Archaeological Resources Fund manages the income from the tickets and the vendor items, since the Museum belongs to the State. |
